What is Banabean?

BanaBean is a purpose-driven hair destination for little girls 0-9. We help moms inspire style and confidence in their little girl with products, services, and content that encourage hair love. Right now we offer a curated monthly delivery of accessories, products, and tools for little girls age 0-9.


Can I sign up for BanaBean right now? 

We are currently in Beta mode testing out our subscription model with a limited number of early users. However, feel free to look around and enjoy the site to see how it works. Sign up for our emails to be alerted when we re-launch. 


What will be in each box?

Each box has an array of beautiful headbands, clips, bows, turbans, hair ties, and occasionally other stylish accessories. Sometimes we'll include haircare products and tools. We only source from coveted, high-quality brands.


Do you reveal the brands in the box?

It depends on the brand. The brands we work with provide their accessories to us at significantly below their retail price. Some brands are comfortable promoting this, while others are not. However, we do try to feature some of our brands in our blog so you can get a sense of our high design standards! 


Will the age I enter determine what I get?

Currently we are sourcing our products to be appropriate for all little girls from 0-9 years old. Eventually we will provide variations that are based on age. This is why we ask you to input the age of the little girl you are purchasing the box for – it will help inform our future merchandising plans!


How does membership work?

BanaBean is a monthly membership you can subscribe to. Every month you will receive a new package filled with a half dozen or so products. You will be billed for your subscription every month unless you unsubscribe (which you can do at any time).


When will I receive my box?

We start shipping out our boxes around the 25th of each month. The exact arrival date to your home will vary depending on where you are in the world, however for U.S. residents we aim to have you receive the box before the end of each month. International customers should expect longer arrival times.


How much does it cost?

The cost of a monthly box is $25. We also have a variety of gifting plans at different pricing options. Given the partnerships we have with our brands we guarantee that the total retail value of each parcel will always be more than what you paid for it. Note that residents in Illinois will have to pay sales tax (since this is where our distribution center is located).


How does the free box promotion work?

It's super simple. New members who sign up when the promotion is running will automatically receive a free extra box in their first month. So you can expect not one but two boxes to arrive for your first delivery. No codes to enter and nothing else for you to do other than sign up and take advantage of this amazing offer. 


How does gifting work? 

If you want to gift a BanaBean box to your favorite little girl you can choose from our different gifting plans. Be sure to include the recipient's name, email, and an optional gift message (so we can notify them of who the gift comes from). Your gift will be a one-time purchase (you will not be signed up to a subscription). 


What is the cost of shipping?

Shipping is free for U.S. deliveries. For packages delivered abroad your shipping cost will be calculated at checkout. Please be aware that international packages may be subject to import duties and we are not responsible for covering those costs.


Do you have a refund/return policy?

We stand behind the quality of the goods we source. If you have an issue with any item in your box please contact us within 15 business days at and we will try our best to resolve it. Please note that in the event a refund is warranted, we will only accept the return of unused items with all the original packaging and labels intact.


Is my information secure?

Yes it is and we use very reliable and trustworthy third party systems to support our platform. Our shop is hosted on Shopify. We use Stripe to process your payments. We use Mailchimp to communicate with you via email. We never ever share your information.


How do I update or cancel my account?

You can easily make changes to your account by selecting "my account" from our website menu and signing in. From there you can navigate to the appropriate sections to update your information or subscription.


Can I recommend a product or brand?

You sure can. If you manufacture, design, or sell accessories for little girls and want to be featured in one of our monthly boxes, or just want to make us aware of a lovely brand you’ve come across, please email us at and we’ll take a look!


Do you have an affiliate or ambassador program?
